Happy New Year.
I'll keep this one short because the resolution is simple: in 2026, we're going to get If I Could Go in front of audiences.
Probably not a full production (yet) but readings. Maybe a workshop or two... But, real actors breathing life into characters for the first time, and real musicians playing the full score... where you discover which jokes land and which songs need another verse, where the show tells you what it wants to become.
This is the part of the process that is both exciting and terrifying. There is a lot of vulnerability involved in sharing your work with others.
As a creator and entrepreneur, I love the feeling of forward progress. Submit to festivals. Apply for development programs. Say yes to opportunities, even the scary ones. Keep believing that this story of Oisín and Niamh deserves to be heard (and will be appreciated).
Thank you for following along. Here's to a year of beginnings, and we'll see you on the other side. Pun intended (I suppose that will make a lot more sense after you've seen the show).
