One of the things I've been looking forward to most about this whole journey is getting to this part: building the team.
As we gear up for the April 23rd staged reading at the Emerging Artists Theatre Spark Festival in New York, I'm happy to say that things are really coming together. I've been making great progress assembling the creative team, and I've had the pleasure of working with some truly fantastic general managers who are helping me navigate the logistics of actually putting this thing on its feet. On top of that, I'm locking in some incredible musicians and cast members who are going to bring this material to life in ways I can't wait to hear.
There's something special about the moment when a show starts to go from "a thing I've been writing alone in my room" to "a thing that actual talented humans are going to perform." Watching the team come together, one conversation and one "yes" at a time, has been one of the most exciting parts of this whole process.
